Five for Friday

 

Happy Friday! I hope this post finds you all relaxing and enjoying summer break! I feel like my break is starting to slip away - slow down summer!!! It has been a hot and humid week around here and in true south Alabama Gulf Coast fashion, there have been thunder storms almost every afternoon! Sure makes for good snuggling with my doggies and reading or napping weather!

My sweet Lucile, who thinks she is an outside dog, says it is way too hot!

Work Work Working!

I have been on roll with my Teachers Pay Teachers store this week. I have completed a few items and am working on updating some of the old and adding a lot more new! Check back each week on Two for Tuesdays and Worksheet Wednesdays for great deals and FREEBIES!!

Blog Design! Tips and Suggestions Welcome!

I am still adding to my new blog design. This week I learned how to add a cute signature to the end of my blog post and how to add a message in my comments section. I still have a few more things to learn and add and then I think I will be done.

I am going a little stir crazy! I had surgery two weeks ago today to remove fibroids. My house is a mess and I cannot do a thing about it. I am still under doctor's orders not to pick up anything heavier than 10 pounds, avoid steps, and avoid bending over. Not to mention that I still get tired after taking a shower! I have almost cleaned out my DVR. Thankfully I am now able to focus enough to read and blog. However, I am sick of my sofa!!!!!

Yep! You read that right, I have been summoned for jury duty!

Normally, I would actually be very excited to be selected to serve on a jury. I have never been summoned before and have secretly been hoping I would get called - just not RIGHT BEFORE SCHOOL STARTS!!! Are you kidding me? I have so much planned for that week. I was supposed to teach Jump Start, finish getting my classroom ready, working on anchor charts and lesson plans, oh and a BACHELORETTE  PARTY IN WASHINGTON DC! 

I am so bummed. I have wanted to serve on a jury since forever and the first chance I get is at the worst possible time! I am so conflicted.  I kind of want to be dismissed but then again I kind of don't. UGH!
